Big 8 Assignments

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do my internship at two different locations!  My first internship experience was at a high school during summer school.  I really enjoyed working there.  The media specialist at this location was very helpful and I learned a lot from her.  One of the projects I got to work on was the 9th grade orientation video.   The experience was challenging, but rewarding!  I do wish I had been able to work with more students and/or teachers.  Since it was summer school, the media center was fairly quiet.  My second internship experience was at an elementary school.  I did many things here such as: working with the morning broadcast crew, helping with the Reader's Rally team, working with individual students to locate information, and also planning, and teaching, a collaborative lesson with another teacher.  I learned a lot from this media specialist also.  She is very knowledgable of the library media field.  She was able to give me some great insight.  Overall, I believe I had a great internship experience.  I feel so lucky to have been able to spend some quality time at two different locations.
